who we are
Peace Thru Music is a Ventura County based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children by providing access to music education, music appreciation, and musical instruments. Local Ventura resident, Tony Barnes, founded Peace Thru Music in 2002 to help make a child's dream of playing an instrument become a realtiy. His passion is to advance the education and development of children through the art of music.
Peace Thru Music has donated thousands of dollars worth of musical instruments to schools, agencies, and individuals who otherwise would not have access to them. We provide funding for music teachers, we assist in the development of music programs, and we present live musical performances at school assemblies - all at no charge to the schools. Our music programs help children to learn music theory, songwriting techniques, and music appreciation.
Your donation to Peace Thru Music gives a child the chance to become involved in the wonderful world of music. Donated instruments are quickly put in the hands of the children in our community, and funding is promptly applied to the schools and Boys and Girls Clubs in need of music programs.
